Events and F&B Sales
Overview
Events and F&B Sales Officer is responsible for driving sales revenue through the promotion and sale of event spaces and food & beverage offerings (inside and outside the venue). The primary goal will be to promote QNCC in-house Catering services to clients/event organizers. Point of contact from F&B Sales aspect with clients collaborating with QNCC. Build strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, and provide them with excellent customer service. Will work closely with cross-functional teams, including catering, sales, marketing, and event operations, to ensure client satisfaction and achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities

Collaborate with the QNCC Catering culinary team to design innovative menus and culinary offerings that cater to the diverse needs and preferences of clients and guests attending events at QNCC.

Coordinate with the F&B team to showcase and upsell food and beverage offerings as part of event packages, maximizing revenue potential.

Generate and drive additional revenues for QNCC catering by promoting it to third-party companies for events outside the QNCC venue.

Generate sales revenue by actively promoting and selling event spaces within the exhibition center to corporate clients, event organizers, and other potential customers.

Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing clients while proactively seeking out new business opportunities.

Collaborate with the events management team to develop tailored event proposals and F&B packages that meet the specific needs and preferences of clients.

Conduct regular inspections of F&B facilities, equipment, and supplies to identify maintenance needs, cleanliness issues, and safety hazards, and take corrective action as necessary.

Respond promptly and effectively to guest feedback, complaints, and special requests, and take appropriate measures to resolve issues and enhance guest satisfaction.

Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in F&B management, and incorporate relevant innovations into the operations.

Negotiate terms and contracts with clients, ensuring favorable outcomes for both parties while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Represent the exhibition center at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote brand awareness and expand business connections.

Collaborate with marketing and promotional teams to develop and implement sales strategies, campaigns, and promotional activities aimed at driving event bookings and F&B sales.

Identify new business opportunities and cultivate relationships with corporate clients, event planners, wedding coordinators, and other potential customers.

Conduct regular market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences, and adjust sales strategies accordingly.

Foster strong relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business and referrals, while also seeking opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

Oversee the coordination of sales activities, including lead generation, client meetings, site visits, and proposal presentations.

Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Assist with the preparation of the annual Business Plan and Budget for the Department.
Qualifications

A background in Sales & Marketing, Events Management, Hospitality, and/or any equivalent is essential.

Bachelor/master’s degree in business administration, Marketing or Hospitality, and/or any equivalent is an advantage.

Minimum of 4 years of experience

Fluency in English and Arabic.

Familiarity with technology, data analysis and various platforms used in the field.
