Around 200 companies from 16 countries will participate in the 7th edition of the Doha International Maritime Defense Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX 2022), which will be held at Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) from March 21-23, 2022.
The theme of the event is ‘Connecting the World's Maritime Defense and Security Community.’
“Among the new things in the next edition are cyber security, satellite communications and artificial intelligence in addition to the presence of more airlines compared to the previous edition,” said Chairman of DIMDEX, Staff Brigadier (Sea) Abdulbaqi Saleh Al Ansari.
Speaking to Al-Rayyan TV yesterday, Al Ansari said that “around 16 countries and 200 companies are participating. Turkish, American, Italian and French pavilions are among the most important pavilions.”

"We are also expecting an increase in official delegations. In the previous version there were 82 official delegations," he explained.
With regard to benefits from the exhibition, he said that Qatari officers get to learn about the latest technologies, they can compare between products in the exhibition to choose the best, they can discuss directly with manufacturers, and this gives them good experience and knowledge to choose the best.
DIMDEX is a dynamic platform attended by key decision-makers and industry leaders in the maritime defence and security industry. It provides the opportunity for exhibitors to showcase their latest, state-of-the-art technologies and products to industry personnel to initiate significant deals and partnerships. Memorandums of Understandings (MoUs) and agreements are announced and signed live at the exhibition during the three-day event.
