The Qatar Society of Engineers will hold the first Qatar International Conference and Exhibition for Sports Engineering from March 27 to 29 at Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC Hall No. 1) under the patronage of Minister of Sports and Youth HE Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali.
The event, the first of its kind in Qatar and the region, will feature discussion panels and specialised exhibition during the three days.
The Qatar Society of Engineers will organise the event in cooperation with Expo Tale, the implementing partner, with the support of the strategic partners – the Ministry of Sport and Youth, Qatar Olympic Committee, Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, and Aspire Zone Foundation.
The conference panels will focus on six main sectors related to sports engineering, namely: Design and implementation of sports facilities and buildings; Engineering & sports equipment and tools; Engineering in the development of athletic skills and performance; Technology and Artificial intelligence in sport engineering; Parasport and Paralympics; and Sports and Mega Events management and Legacies.
The conference will host more than 15 discussion panels to present research and topics over the three days, with the participation of a number of speakers, experts and academics at a highest level, from different national and international academic and engineering associations.
Over 30 exhibitors from various sports and engineering sectors in Qatar have confirmed their participation.
The strategic partners and sponsors include the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) and Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa).
Al-Kass TV channel was appointed as the media partner and will air a daily live broadcasting from inside the show, in the presence of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Qatar Airways, the official Airline of the event, Vodafone Qatar as the telecom sponsor, and InterContinental The City Doha as the official hotel.
The conference will witness the academic participation of several universities, the such as Qatar University, Doha University of Science and Technology, Hamad Bin Khalifa University and Texas A&M College Qatar.
There will be a distinguished presence of Paris Saint-Germain through a pavilion inside the exhibition, while a number of Al ADAAM athletes with achievements will be present to talk about their experiences and interact with the audience.
An integrated pavilion has been allocated under the title (Sports Tech Pavilion) hosting a number of Qatari and international companies in the field of sports services, as well as a number of startups in the sports sector and sports engineering to present their projects and ideas to the public.
The exhibition will open daily from 12pm noon until 9pm.
